Palcam Technologies Secures $3.75 Million in Government of Canada Funding to Enhance Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities

Newmarket, Ontario — February 2026 — Palcam Technologies Ltd. is pleased to announce the Government of Canada is investing $3.75 million, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), to support the company’s $5-million investment in advanced manufacturing capabilities over the next 24 months.

This funding, announced as part of the Government of Canada's auto strategy, enables Palcam to enhance its CAD/CAM systems, optimize cutting tool performance, and expand production capacity to meet growing demand from North American automotive and industrial customers.

Positioning for Growth in a Shifting Market

The investment comes at a critical moment for Canadian manufacturers. As tariff pressures reshape supply chains, Palcam is strengthening its ability to deliver die casting tooling components domestically — reducing lead times and providing a reliable alternative to offshore suppliers.

"For 30 years, Palcam has specialized in precision-machined replacement components for aluminum die casting tooling," said Walter Palisca, President and CEO of Palcam Technologies. "This funding accelerates our ability to serve North American OEMs with faster turnaround, tighter tolerances, and the consistency they need as they scale EV production."

The Honourable Evan Solomon, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, echoed this, stating,

“The auto sector in southern Ontario is a vital driver of our economy, and supporting the businesses and workers behind it remains a priority. The new auto strategy will help integrate emerging technologies into our supply chains, strengthening jobs and growth across the region. We’re proud to support manufacturers like Palcam Technologies as they continue to play an essential role in advancing the automotive supply chain."

The Investment in Detail

Over the next two years, Palcam will deploy funding across three strategic areas:

Advanced CAD/CAM Capabilities — Developing automated macro systems to reduce programming time for complex 5-axis components, accelerating quote-to-delivery timelines.

Cutting Tool Optimization — Systematic trials and documentation of toolpaths and cutting parameters to maximize efficiency and extend tool life across high-volume production runs.

Capacity Expansion Operational Modernization — Infrastructure and systems improvements to enhance workflow integration and process efficiency.

The project runs from February 2026 through March 2028, with progress milestones aligned to measurable productivity and quality improvements.

Aligning with National Priorities

The funding targets strategic investments that strengthen Canada's automotive and manufacturing sectors in response to evolving trade dynamics. Palcam's project directly supports this goal by:

• Enhancing supply chain resilience and operational flexibility
• Preserving and growing advanced manufacturing capabilities in Ontario
• Supporting the continued advancement of EV manufacturing capabilities
